Kaitlyn and Tyler knew exactly what they wanted (and didn’t want) when planning their wedding. Their dedication to staying focused on their priorities (and not sweating the small stuff) allowed us to create a fun, relaxing, and authentic-to-them wedding day from start to finish. I’m not gonna lie, with [Kayla] being Kaitlyn’s best friend (and Maid of Honor) the pressure was ON to give them the day they deserved – and I’d say we delivered.
It’s no surprise that Kaitlyn and Tyler immediately fell in love with SRV Boston for their wedding venue. Knowing that they wanted to be in the city, give their guests a delicious meal (like seriously, I dare you to find a better meatball) and keep decor to a minimum – it checked every single box. The beauty of the restaurant certainly speaks for its self – all it needed was the perfect amount of floral magic from Rococo Floral Co. and a few simple decor details, and BAM – the perfect venue for Kaitlyn and Tyler.
Spending quality time together was a huge priority for the both of them. So we continuously made clear and intentional timeline and logistical decisions with that priority top-of-mind. Tyler and Kaitlyn woke up together and then went their separate ways to get ready for the day. Shortly after they shared their sweet first look at the Liberty Hotel and then hopped on a shuttle bus to their favorite date night spot, Highland Kitchen in Somerville for pre-ceremony beers and portraits with their intimate group of VIPs and the amazing Hope Allison Photography. Creating extra buffer time in their timeline gave them the opportunity to relax, get excited, and calm the nerves for their wedding TOGETHER. It even gave Kaitlyn time to stop at their local bodega for shuttle snacks. More time together on their wedding day is not something Kaitlyn or Tyler wanted to miss out on – and because of our planning, they didn’t have to.
Their romantic ceremony happened on the magical patio minutes after a light rain shower. Their loved ones gathered closely together as Kaitlyn walked down the aisle with her mom and shared an intimate moment at the end of the aisle with her dad. There were smiles, laughs and tears during the thoughtful ceremony officiated by their dear friend Tony (who introduced them.)
The rest of their reception was filled with a buzzing cocktail hour, delicious family style dinner that fueled everyone’s stomaches (and souls), lots of mingling, and lots of dancing. It was so visibility apparent how loved these two are from their guests’ energy all night – could not imagine a more relaxing or authentic-to-them way to celebrate their love.
